About this book
Boer Politics is a book by Yves Guyot, translated from the French. The introduction to the English edition says the arguments in the following pages appeared originally in the columns of Le Siècle. The introduction names correspondence between M. Yves Guyot and Dr. Kuyper and M. Brunetière (Appendix B).
The text states that on December 29th, Jameson invaded the Transvaal with 480 men. The text counts, for a fight at Doornkop, losses of 18 killed and 40 wounded on the Raiders' side and four killed and five wounded on the Boers' side. A chapter headed THE FRANCHISE says Dr. Kuyper “favors us with a long dissertation upon the various laws of naturalisation existing throughout the world.”
