About this book

The multigenerational story "Bowlaway" by Elizabeth McCracken revolves around a candlepin bowling alley in a tiny New England village. The story starts when Bertha Truitt, the person who establishes the bowling alley, mysteriously shows up there. Her eventual passing starts a series of events that have an impact on the town and its citizens for many years to come.
