Bunny Brown and His Sister Sue Keeping Store is credited to Laura Lee Hope. In one scene Bunny, looking over the store, tells Sue she must come and buy something. Bunny always called Sue Mrs. Snifkins when they kept store. Sue always called her brother Mr. Huntley when they kept store.
Sue, in the game, orders some prunes, some coffee, some eggs, some sugar, some salt and some butter. The text mentions a vegetable garden at the side of the house, a garden which Uncle Tad had made and of which he was very proud. The children started out with Toby, and were almost at their own home when they heard a great shouting and racket behind them.
