About this book
Bunny Brown and His Sister Sue and Their Shetland Pony is credited to Laura Lee Hope. Bunny whispers to his sister that they can go out to the barn and get in the ark when Bunker doesn't see them. The ark is the big auto in the barn, as large as a moving van, with rooms where the children and grown-ups could sleep and a place to cook and eat meals.
Sue cries to Bunny asking whether they are really lost, and her brother answers "I guess so" but adds that they are not lost very much and can easy find their way back again. Two children are carried toward one of the gaily painted wagons while Bunny catches sight of a man running out of the wooden cabin with the red-and-yellow box under his arm. A woman snaps "I guess you won't get out of that place in a hurry!" as she thrusts Sue into the wagon.
