About this book

Elmer, the patchwork elephant, hears a call for help and takes it for another of his cousin Wilbur's voice tricks. It is Butterfly, caught in a hole behind a fallen branch.

Elmer lifts the branch to free her, and she says she may repay him one day. Later he follows a narrow, unfamiliar path along a high cliff.
