About this book

Eye Mind is an in-depth narrative of the 13th Floor Elevators, pioneers of psychedelic rock led by Roky Erickson. The band transformed culture in the 1960s but faced battles with repressive authorities, personal turmoil, and drug addiction. The book chronicles their tumultuous journey, including Erickson’s commitment to a hospital for the criminally insane.
