About this book
Gandhi and Anarchy is a book by C. Sankaran Nair. The contents list gives the titles The Non-Co-operation Resolution, The Kilafat Question and The Punjab Atrocities, among others. The text reports the view that a doctor should "give up medicine, and understand that rather than mending bodies, he should mend souls".
A text addressed to the Legislative Council and dated 22nd January, 1921 says that great efforts have been made to draw away young men from schools and colleges. The quoted passage says that great efforts have been made to prevent voters from going to the polls, and adds that these efforts have met with little success. An entry dated 16th February 1922 at Sylhet says that a Commissioner was dispersing a forbidden meeting when a large body of Lathials attacked the Police from behind.
