Edward Jenkins

Edward Jenkins combined work as a British lawyer, social reformer, satirist, and Liberal member of Parliament, and his fiction often challenged public complacency. Ginx’s Baby, first published anonymously in 1870 with the fuller subtitle His Birth and Other Misfortunes, made him widely known.
