About this book
Hebrew Life and Times is a book by Harold B. Hunting. The contents list, among others, gives chapters called "Home Life in the Tents" and "Village Life in Canaan". The book says that three of the world's greatest religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Mohammedanism, arose at different times among the wandering shepherds of Arabia.
The book describes a small, weak tribe grazing its flocks around a good well that was always in danger lest a stronger tribe swoop down upon them to kill and plunder. The text states that in B.C. 721, as a result of provoking the Assyrian king Shalmanezer to a fresh attack, the land was again invaded and the city of Samaria was captured and sacked. The text says that after three short years of preaching and healing Jesus was nailed to the cross.
