Tom Sleigh is a poet, essayist, and translator whose version of Herakles brings Euripides into direct contemporary English. Oxford University Press released the work in 2001 within its Greek Tragedy in New Translations series. Classicist and composer Christian Wolff supplied a literal rendering as guidance, then wrote the introduction, notes, and glossary.
