In High Places is an alternate history novel about Annette, an 18-year-old time traveler from the late 21st century. She poses as a Muslim merchant’s daughter in a world where the Black Death decimated Europe, leading to Muslim dominance. Captured and sold into slavery, Annette navigates complex relationships between Christians and Muslims, slaves and masters.
