John Gildart is a novel by Margaret Ellen Henry-Ruffin (1857-1941), the American Catholic writer from the South whose historical fiction drew on her devotion and her wide reading. Her better-known book The Shield of Silence and her tales of medieval and early-Christian settings placed her among the Catholic popular novelists of the early twentieth century. John Gildart belongs to that body of devout American storytelling. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
