Legends of Babylon and Egypt in Relation to Hebrew Tradition is the 1918 Schweich Lectures of Leonard William King (1869-1919), the British Museum Assyriologist who excavated in Mesopotamia and edited many of the cuneiform texts that opened Babylonian literature to scholars. King compares the creation and flood stories of Babylon and Egypt with those of Genesis, drawing on the tablets he knew at first hand. His early death cut short one of the leading careers in Near Eastern studies. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
