Masks and faces

Masks and Faces is a historical comedy play written by Charles Reade and Tom Taylor. The play was so prosperous that the following year, Reade wrote a novel Peg Woffington” which was also a major hit. The play and the subsequent novel inspired several films, especially made during the silent era.
