About this book
Motors is by James Slough Zerbe. The introductory section says the motor is the great dominating factor in the world of industry. According to the book, every wheel and spindle, every shaft and loom, and every piece of mechanism which has motion derives it from some sort of motor. The introductory section adds that the term motor has a wider significance than any other word.
A numbered list names Watt's Governor, The Original Injector and an Injector with movable Combining Tube, among others. The book says there is an impression that increasing the voltage is adding to the power of a current, yet it does nothing but increase the pressure, with not one particle of increase in the energy. The book says the cells should be frequently tested, to show what loss there is in the amperage, and that this is done by putting an ammeter in the circuit.
