About this book
Murder on the Orient Express, first published in the United Kingdom by the Collins Crime Club on 1 January 1934, is one of Agatha Christie's best-known novels and features the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. In the United States it came out the same year under a different title.
The luxury train is stopped by heavy snow in the middle of the night, and in the morning a wealthy American passenger is found dead in his locked compartment. With the train stuck and the suspects all aboard, Poirot sets out to learn which of them is responsible. It is a classic closed-circle mystery.
