Our Own Set is a novel by Ossip Schubin, pen name of Aloysia Kirschner (1854-1934), the Bohemian-born writer who set fashionable society romances among the aristocracy of Austria-Hungary and Italy. Schubin wrote in German for a wide European audience, and her polished tales of love and rank were translated into English in the late nineteenth century. The novel offers a window on the cosmopolitan high society of the Habsburg world. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
