About this book
Personae is a book by Ezra Pound. The book carries the line "Make-strong old dreams lest this our world lose heart." The book is for Mary Moore of Trenton, if she wants it. The contents list Grace Before Song, La Fraisne, Cino, Na Audiart and Praise of Ysolt among their titles.
A speaker who says "I am mad" has seen the sorrow of men and is glad, knowing that the wailing and bitterness are a folly. Lines naming Cino, Italian Campagna 1309 and the open road have a speaker who has sung women in three cities, all the same, and will sing of the sun. The piece headed Search has a speaker who has heard a wee wind searching through still forests for the speaker and has seen a wee wind searching o'er still sea.
