Barrie first brought Peter to the stage in 1904 and expanded the story into this novel, published in 1911 as Peter and Wendy. It has enchanted generations while hinting at something bittersweet. About the Author
J. M. Barrie (1860-1937) was a Scottish novelist and playwright best remembered for creating Peter Pan. He gave the copyright of the work to a children’s hospital, and the character has become part of the cultural landscape.
