Bp. Bury, Herbert was an Anglican bishop and traveller whose ministry took him through northern Europe, Russia, and Siberia during the early twentieth century. Serving as Bishop for Northern and Central Europe, he visited scattered Anglican communities while observing Russian religious practice, transport, commerce, village life, and social conditions.
