About this book

When a wealthy young woman named Ellaline wants to slip free of her strict guardian long enough to marry the man she loves, she talks her friend Audrie Brendon into taking her place. Audrie agrees to pose as Ellaline on a leisurely motor tour of England with the very guardian being deceived, Sir Lionel Pendragon, a soldier just home from India. The plan runs smoothly until Audrie realizes she is falling for the man she is fooling. Written by the husband-and-wife team who made the early motoring novel their own, the story is told through letters and moves at the unhurried pace of a touring car through the English countryside. A light, warm-hearted comedy of mistaken identity. Free to download as a PDF or EPUB.
