Short Science Fiction
This collection gathers the earliest short science fiction of Isaac Asimov, the stories from the pulp magazines of the late 1930s and early 1940s whose copyrights were never renewed and which have since passed into the public domain. Written when Asimov was still a young man breaking into the field, they show him working out the ideas of space travel, robots, and the far future that he would later make his own. The prose is plain and the plots belong to the pulp era, but the restless curiosity and the clear logical imagination that made him one of the giants of the genre are already at work in them. This free PDF and EPUB presents his early public-domain stories.
