Stephen Morrell Griswold spent decades as a businessman and member of Plymouth Church in Brooklyn, recording his memories of the congregation and its celebrated pastor Henry Ward Beecher. Sixty years with Plymouth Church, published in 1907, grew from more than half a century of participation, including fifty-three years as an usher.
