“The Beast Within” is a horror book written by Edward Levy. The narrative begins in the 1920s on the farm of Henry and Sarah Scruggs. Henry, a fanatically pious guy, feels that humans are filthy and low and that sex even marriage sex is unpleasant and evil. Sarah, a lot younger than Henry, doesn’t think so. One day a traveling salesman by the name of Jimmy Connors shows up to the farm, telling them that his car broke down. Feeling particularly kind, Henry feeds the man some food and lets him sleep in the barn for the night.
