The Blighted Cliffs story is set in 1806, around Lieutenant Martin Jerrold, a character whose life hasn’t progressed despite the triumph at Trafalgar, largely due to his dependence on rum and consistent misfortune.

About the author

Edwin Thomas

Edwin Thomas writes historical adventure through the reluctant naval officer Martin Jerrold, a protagonist whose self-interest repeatedly collides with duty. The Blighted Cliffs opens the series in 1806, placing Jerrold in Dover amid wartime suspicion, coastal danger, and an investigation he would rather avoid.
