About this book

The Complete Works of Guy de Maupassant gathers the fiction of the French master (1850-1893) who brought the short story to a perfection it has rarely touched since. Trained by Flaubert, Maupassant produced some three hundred stories and six novels in a single furious decade, from Boule de Suif, the tale of the Franco-Prussian war that made him famous overnight, to The Necklace and the terrifying Horla. The standard English collected editions of the early 1900s carried his whole range to American readers. No storyteller's shelf is complete without him. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
