About this book
The Creation of God discusses intellectual development as beginning with observant experience, with frequent and repeated observation bringing clearer understanding. The account describes Chaldean shepherds lazily and continuously watching the sky while tending their flocks, gradually learning about many stars and laying the foundation for astronomy. The discussion allows that many errors may have attended those observations and many mistakes may have entered the explanations.
The account of Moses presents the conception of Jehova as originating at Mount Sinai. A discussion of vegetable products identifies alkaloids as principally found in bark and leaves. A comparison of dates for the supposed creation of the world presents the dates as showing uncertainty and inaccuracy.
