Helen Dunmore

Helen Dunmore (1952-2017) worked across poetry, literary novels, short stories and fiction for younger readers. She studied English at York, then taught English as a foreign language in Finland. Going to Egypt, published in 1992, was her first children's novel; Zennor in Darkness followed in 1993 and received the McKitterick Prize.
