The English Wife is a special book about two women. Ellie lived during a time called VE Day in 1945. Her husband, Thomas, is far away, and she feels both happy and sad. Sophie lives on a day called September 11th, 2001. She gets sent to a small town in Newfoundland because of something sad that happened in New York. Sophie meets her aunt Ellie and they discover secrets together. It’s like a treasure hunt!
