About this book

Romantic novel cover model Gemma van Dalen and reserved bookseller Tansy Adams are the central characters of Alexandria Bellefleur's seductive romance "The Fiancée Farce." After seeing Gemma's gorgeous cover, Tansy creates a false girlfriend, but when Gemma in real life shows up, their white lie almost falls apart. Gemma suggests a contemporary marriage of convenience to comply with the conditions of her testament.

The boundary between their arranged romance and their genuine emotions is blurred as they play the part of loving fiancées. However, their newfound happiness is in jeopardy because the cunning Van Dalen family will not give up easily.

About the author

Alexandria Bellefleur

The Fiancée Farce (2023) begins with a bookshop owner who invents a girlfriend from the face on a romance cover, and then puts the real model in front of her with reasons of her own for wanting a marriage. Alexandria Bellefleur, a Romance Writers of America Golden Heart finalist in 2018, writes contemporary queer romance in exactly that register.
