About this book
The Gospel of John for Readers is by Lightheart. The preface quotes a line from Brother Lawrence's The Practice of the Presence of God: "In order to know God, we must often think of Him." The preface says the gospel of John is called the gospel of love, and that it is a love story, written by that disciple whose heart was totally surrendered.
John bore record, saying that he saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove. The next day, John and two of his disciples saw Jesus as He walked, and John said, Behold the Lamb of God! In Jerusalem it was winter and the feast of the dedication, and Jesus walked in the temple upon Solomon's porch. Mary stood outside at the entrance weeping, stooped down, looked into the sepulchre, and saw two angels in white sitting.
