About this book
The Runaway Asteroid is by Michael D. Cooper, with artwork by Nick Baumann, and is called A David Foster Starman Adventure. A list names the Starman series by Michael D. Cooper, with titles including MUTINY ON MARS, THE RUNAWAY ASTEROID and JOURNEY TO THE TENTH PLANET, among others. The text says Putnam was in custody on Mars, along with the rest of the pirates who had been captured by Earth’s forces.
Zimbardo announces that Troy Putnam was a fool and that the Starmen walked in on him and took him completely by surprise. Zimbardo tells Gebbeth that he has a plan and that Gebbeth will be his chief assistant. The text says Zimbardo knew that the destruction of the sats would alert Space Command, but the authorities would not be able to stop the project before his ships returned.
