About this book

Sir Oliver Tressilian is a Cornish gentleman whose life is destroyed by his own half-brother, who frames him for murder and arranges to have him sold into slavery. Chained to the oar of a Spanish galley, Oliver survives long enough to be captured by Barbary corsairs, then rises among them to become the dreaded Sakr-el-Bahr, the Sea Hawk. Wealthy, feared, and consumed by the memory of the woman who believed him guilty, he sails back toward Cornwall to reclaim his honor and settle old scores. Rafael Sabatini stages a tale of betrayal and vengeance across the Elizabethan Mediterranean. Available as a free PDF and EPUB edition.
