D. L. Moody

Dwight Lyman Moody (1837-1899) was an American evangelist and publisher who rose from a Chicago shoe salesman to one of the best-known preachers of his day. He founded the Moody Church, the Northfield schools, and the Bible institute in Chicago that still carries his name.
