The Well

Elizabeth Jolley’s novel, The Well, is an enchanting tale of two women, Hester and Katherine, living on a secluded farm. Hester, an older woman, has a strong attachment to Katherine, a young girl she has taken under her wing. Their relationship takes a dark turn when Katherine accidentally hits an unknown creature with their vehicle.
