About this book

Alan W. Watts considers the fear of uncertainty and the wish to secure happiness in the future. His philosophical discussion connects anxiety with attachment to expectations, memories and a fixed sense of self. The emphasis falls on attending to present experience, drawing together questions about religion, psychological security and the way people understand their lives.
