About this book

Two-Legs is a book by Carl Ewald. The contents list names chapters called, among others, THE OLD ANIMALS, MRS. TWO-LEGS HAS A SON and TWO-LEGS ENLARGES HIS POSSESSIONS. A dedication says that, of all Carl Ewald's stories, Two-Legs has always been the favourite of the person addressed, and that the reissue is amplified by four chapters which did not appear in the original edition. Two-Legs tells his wife to sew a leather bag for himself and one for each of the family. The poppy asks whether Two-Legs will have a few of her seeds, and Two-Legs says she may be pretty but he has no use for her.

Two-Legs says he shall now rub the glass until the spirit comes forth, and that when that is done, the boy will touch the glass with one hand. The text says that all the bits of paper leapt up and hung in the hand which the boy held over the dish.
