About this book

Chantal Gadoury's 'Winter Dream' is a brilliant adaptation of The Nutcracker from Clara Stahlbaum's perspective. The drama which takes place around Christmas centers on Clara an aristocratic daughter who is expected to give up her aspirations of adventure and remarkably in favor of a more traditional existence as the nasty Viscount's bride.

But when the enchanted Uncle Drosselmeyer reappears bearing marvelous dancing apparatuses and a unique present for Clara, she is catapulted into the realm of Fantasy. There, she must break the Nutcracker's curse and embark on the greatest journey of her wildest fantasies.

Love, war, redemption, and Christmas magic are all interwoven in this interesting novel that will appeal to readers who enjoyed S. Jae-Jones' Wintersong.
