About this book
Within the Temple of Isis is credited to Belle M. Wagner. The dedication, signed "By the Authoress", is addressed to her husband, Henry Wagner, M.D. A preface says "We are safe in saying that" the book "is unique and stands alone", adding that there is no other book in print like it.
Chapter I, titled "The Revelation of the Astrologer", opens with the Priestess having just retired to her apartments for repose, although the hour was very late, near midnight. The text names Sarthia as a little handmaid and special attendant, as well as Vestal in the Temple. A speaker takes Rathunor by the hand and tells him: "Doubt no more, my child, have faith in the Infinite Wisdom that guides and directs the struggling soul through the intricate ways of evolution up to the final consciousness of Immortal Life."
