Sree Parabat Kumar was born on 1 January 1927, in Amla Sadarpur, Kusthia, Undivided Bengal (Now in Bangladesh). He was a Bengali-language novelist from Kolkata India.His father's name was Sudhir Kumar Goswami and his mother's name is Preetibindu Devi, both of his parents belonged to very educated and literary Hindu families. which was the reason why he was so tuned in with literature from an early age,He is known mainly for his historical novels. His novels include Ami Sirajer Begum, Mamtaz Duhita Jahanara, and Aravalli Thekey Agra. Sree Parabat is a pen-name, the actual name of the author was Prabir Kumar Goswami.
