Sunirmal Basu

Sunirmal Basu was born on 20 July 1902, in Giridi, Bihar, British India(Currently India). He was an Indian Bengali Poet and Child literature.

He studied in Patna’s Giridi school in 1920 and passed the Matriculation exam. Later he got admitted to Kolkata’s Saint Pulse College, but he had to leave after joining the Gandiji Asohojog Andalan in 1921. Afterward, he got into Abnindranath  Art College.

Apart from poetry, stories, dramas, novels, fiction, and even comedy dramas for Children had been written by him. His writings were very interactive and popular with readers.

For his works, he was awarded the Bhubeneshari Padak in 1956. He died in 1957 on 25th February.
