80 Dine Bishho Vromon

Around the World in Eighty Days, in Bangla as 80 Dine Bishho Vromon, is Jules Verne’s most loved adventure novel. The English gentleman Phileas Fogg makes a wager that he can travel around the world in eighty days, and sets off with his French valet Passepartout to prove it.

The book is fast, fun, and full of the nineteenth century enthusiasm for trains and steamships. Generations of children have grown up with this story and the Bangla translation is a fine introduction.
