Ami Aar Feluda Book Review
Ami Aar Feluda By Satyajit Ray is another favorite Feluda series book. Ami Aar Feluda was published in January 2006 by Dip Prakashani. Sandip Ray with his father Satyajit Ray, it would be wrong to compare, both as a director as well as a writer. Especially since this book has been written by someone else, Sandip Ray only shared his memories with the writer. The narrative is very incoherent. It sometimes seems the writer is in a hurry to finish the story. However, the memoir takes you on a trip down memory lane, of the childhood and teen days, when you spent most of your time reading Feluda. The chapter on Maganlal Meghraj had no reference to Mohan Agase, and overall the book is tiny, I finished it in 2 hours!
We all have read Satyajit Ray’s account of Sonar Kella and Joy Baba Felunath shootings. Now, his son takes up the pen to jot down his memories of working with Feluda – first as an assistant to his father, then as a director himself. Many rare anecdotes emerge in this short read.
