Adventure classics, by land and sea

A treasure map, a submarine, a volcano in Iceland and an island where no one should land.

Jump to the four books

These are the books that made adventure stories what they are: maps, ships, strange machines and places no reader had seen before. All of them were first published in the nineteenth century, and all of them still move fast.

Two were written in French by Jules Verne and come to you here in English. Each one takes you somewhere different: an island, the deep sea, the inside of the earth.
