A. J. Dawson
A. J. Dawson (Alec John Dawson, 1872–1951) was an English novelist, journalist, and travel writer active across the Edwardian literary scene. He is remembered today chiefly for his animal and adventure stories, among them the dog novels "Finn the Wolfhound" and "Jan: A Dog and a Romance." A committed advocate of national service and military preparedness, he poured those convictions into invasion-scare fiction like this one. He also drew on years of travel, much of it in Morocco, for his journalism and travel writing.
