Alan Parks

Two men called Alan Parks are filed here. The crime novels belong to the Glaswegian who spent twenty years as an executive in the London record business and published his first book at fifty: Bloody January begins the Harry McCoy series, each volume named for a month, set in a Glasgow of the early seventies that is corrupt at every level a detective can reach. May God Forgive took the Edgar for best paperback original. Seriously Mum, What's an Alpaca? is by a different Alan Parks entirely, an Englishman who moved to rural Andalusia to farm alpacas and wrote a run of comic memoirs about doing it badly.
