Alex Quigley

Alex Quigley spent more than fifteen years teaching and leading in schools before working for the Education Endowment Foundation as head of content and engagement. He later became an independent education consultant supporting schools, colleges, and trusts. Closing the Writing Gap, published by Routledge in 2022, organises research and classroom practice around seven steps for improving pupils' writing. It addresses planning, revision, grammar, spelling, sentence craft, and writing across subjects.
