Aminah Mae Safi

Aminah Mae Safi writes young people's fiction shaped by friendship, family, cultural identity, and the consequences of difficult choices. Not the Girls You’re Looking For, her debut novel, follows Lulu Saad as she tries to repair strained friendships and understand herself during Ramadan. This Is All Your Fault unfolds across a single day, bringing three young employees together to save their independent bookstore. Macmillan publishes both novels, while Safi's official biography also lists Tell Me How You Really Feel and Travelers Along the Way. Across these books, she gives group dynamics as much weight as individual ambition, allowing humor, conflict, and loyalty to share the same space.
