Amy T Matthews

Amy T Matthews is an Australian novelist and Associate Professor in Creative Writing at Flinders University. Someone Else’s Bucket List follows the reserved Jodie Boyd after her adventurous older sister dies, leaving recorded messages that challenge Jodie to complete a very public list. The tasks promise financial relief for the family, but they also push Jodie toward travel, connection, and a life no longer defined by comparison. Kensington released the novel in 2023, and Simon & Schuster later issued it for Australian readers. Flinders describes Matthews's research interest in women's and book-club fiction, where literary craft meets commercial storytelling. She has also published as Amy Barry and Tess LeSue, a range that helps explain her interest in genre, relationships, and the different forms a hopeful story can take.
