Someone Else’s Bucket List follows the reserved Jodie Boyd after her adventurous older sister dies, leaving recorded messages that challenge Jodie to complete a very public list. The tasks promise financial relief for the family, but they also push Jodie toward travel, connection, and a life no longer defined by comparison. Kensington released the novel in 2023, and Simon & Schuster later issued it for Australian readers. Flinders describes Matthews's research interest in women's and book-club fiction, where literary craft meets commercial storytelling. She has also published as Amy Barry and Tess LeSue, a range that helps explain her interest in genre, relationships, and the different forms a hopeful story can take.
