DeuxMoi

DeuxMoi is the pseudonymous creator of a celebrity-gossip platform and the credited coauthor, with Jessica Goodman, of Anon Pls.: A Novel. William Morrow released the book in 2022 as a fictionalized account of an assistant who turns an old social-media profile into an unexpectedly powerful source of entertainment news. Library catalogues identify both contributors, the publisher, and the novel’s subjects of fame, image management, and online anonymity. Contemporary coverage also explains that Goodman collaborated on the writing while DeuxMoi supplied the concept and knowledge of the celebrity-reporting world. The novel follows Cricket Lopez as the account’s rapid growth begins to disrupt her job, friendships, and private identity. That premise lets the authors explore the labor and ethical pressure hidden behind a seemingly effortless stream of tips. Readers approaching Anon Pls.: A Novel will find workplace comedy and social satire organized around a central question: what happens when an anonymous persona becomes more influential than the person operating it.
